The very first thing you need to do if you want to make money online by turning your hobby into a monthly cash stream is to take an inventory of hobbies you are currently involved in. If you are like most people, you are probably only involved in a handful of hobbies at most – more than likely one or two – so, this shouldn’t take too long. Once you’ve taken inventory of your hobbies, decide which one you want to focus on and make a list of info that YOU find useful. Jot down research you’ve done or knowledge you have about your hobby.
For example:
Assuming you are involved in tying flies for fishing, you’ll want to settle on “Fly Tying” as your targeted hobby and maybe jot down things like what flies work best for certain species of fish, which flies are your favorite to tie, how to fish certain flies, the differences between wet and dry flies, the best fly fishing reels, rods, etc. Your list can become fairly large – and that’s good. Your brainstorming notes will be your source of content that you’ll use to build out your website when its time to do so. The more content you have to work with, the better.
Once you’ve settled on a hobby and have a brainstorming list, it’s time to start thinking about how you are going to monetize this hobby.
